Lot 1 One of the most unique knives in the history of knives. Each year the American Bladesmiths Society sells a Mastersmiths knife as a fund raiser--and one of the earliest of those knives was produced in 1992 with a virtual who's who in the world of handforged knives. The blade was forged by the legendary Bill Moran, with other work completed by Jay Henrickson, Joe Cordova, Joe Keeslar, and Hanford Miller. Four of the five men who worked on this magnificent knife were Presidents of the ABS. And what a knife it is, a 15 1/4" Bowie with a 10 inch blade, wire inlay showing the ABS and anvil logo, fileworked, and a custom relief leather sheath. This knife sold for several thouand dollars, although at this writing after calls to B. R. Hughes and others we have been unable to find a record of the exact amount. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to own a Moran forged blade with such a legend and history. All you have to do to own it is outbid everyone else. (VII038) Minimum bid $1,000.00
