Lot 112 Pair of Knives. Schatt & Morgan folding guard lockback with ebony wood handles and keystone shield, plus a 5218 (Case baby muskrat). Both mint. Made for the American Blade Collectors Association in 1993, one of 600, in presentation case. (Note: The design of the '18 pattern muskrat was designed by yours truly, and we had an exclusive on it -we were told--until Jim Parker wanted some made with a different handle about a year later. This ended the plans to issue one each year with different handles for the ABCA. Also the knife was supposed to be labeled a "BV Special" but we all know how things like that go sometimes. Lot 125 Buck Stockman, "Made in USA" stamped on the blade with the blade through a nail shield, long pull. Close examination shows the knife was assembled using the slot in the bolster known as "Swinden construction", invented by Schrade legend Dave Swinden. This indicates also that the knife is one of the rare ones made by Scharde for Buck. (Source for this was the late Buck salesman, Vern Taylor). (dkk87083) Minimum bid $30.00
