Imporant: In this auction is bulk mastodon ivory for handle materials. Although the animals that bore them have been extinct for thousands of years, New York, New Jersey, and California have all enacted legislation to prohibit sales of mastodon ivory in their states. Unfortunately if you live in those states we cannot ship items that are illegal in your state to you. Also similar legislation is pending in other states so please be aware of your politicians and let them know your feelings.

PERSONAL OPINION: I fail to see how banning mastodon ivory will help save the life of a single African elephant. The only possible explanation is that those who would enfoce the elephant ivory ban are too stupid to tell the difference between mastodon ivory and recent elephant ivory--and they are too lazy to take the 20-30 seconds that it would take to learn the difference. The rule is if your legislators are doing things against what you believe to be proper, honest, and right--then work to get them out of office! More and more these days it seems we are outnumbered by the ignorant and idiotic.
