Lot 1 Moran elaborate hunter by the legendary W. F. Moran. Fileworked blade back, fileworked guard, silver wire inlay in the curly maple handles, 10” oal, 5 3/4” blade. Mint, and as sometimes found in one of Bill's later knives there is a small occlusion from the forging process. Leather pouch sheath. Mastersmith mark on the reverse of the tang. Lot 9 Buster Warenski, Richfield, UT marked engraved hunter, ironwood handles, engraved guard and pin heads, fileworked, with sheath mint. 8 1/8” oal, 4” blade. Lot 11 Chubby Hueske ivory micarta handled hunter with leather sheath. Chubby was one of the founding members of the Knifemakers' Guild. Tapered tang with red liner, drilled for lanyard, 6 1/4” closed, 3 1/4” blade, #746 on back of the tang and on the sheath marked “Red's Saddle Shop” Early so even a mint knife from that era looks a little cleaned. Lot 18 Bert Foster small patch knife, burl wood handles. Bert was a winning contestant on the "Forged in Fire" television show (and also an ABS Mastersmith).
